Wineries in the Basque Country
Located under Samaniego Palace, the current tourist office, Bodega El Fabulista is adapted to receive guided and cultural tours. The ground floor consists of two presses that produce 2,000 wine churns every year using traditional methods.
A stemmer and a press dating back to 1903 are also on display. Seven metres underground we will find three parallel lattices joined to each other. One is used for production, the second for aging and the third one for the tasting.
Guided tours include 2 wine-tastings, information about the natural process to produce wine. What is more, wine is on sale in the winery. Dinning room for 40 diners (by previous appointment).
