Asador Landa in Mendaro is a restaurant run by the brothers Juan Mari and Asier Landa, who have turned the old family inn into a cult destination for lovers of food based on produce including seafood, mushrooms and game.
And while the grill is at the heart of Asador Landa, the dessert is the cherry on the cake. Their home-made ice creams and desserts use ingredients like chocolate, which is traditional in this small locality in Gipuzkoa province since a family of French origin opened the Mendaro – Saint Gerons chocolate factory.
