Barrundia is located in the historical territory of Alava in the Cuadrilla de Salvatierra. The lovely municipality is comprised of several villages, being the most remarkable one Ozaeta where the Town Hall is to be found.
Among the different treasures of the area we'll mention Garaio County Park, a beautiful spot with unbeatable beaches for a nice swim. The Ornithology Park of Mendixur lies very close to Garaio. There, nature and animal lovers will have a unique opportunity to watch a wide variety of water birds and a great many other species.
Interesting Heritage
With respect to the historical and artistic heritage, the municipality accommodates several appealing buildings. The church of San Juan Bautista and the Isasmendi Palace in Ozaeta are some of the main samples, but each village has its own gems, all of them worth visiting.
