Beaches

Ogeia Beach is located in the town of Ispaster, on the east coast of Bizkaia.

The calm and quiet wild beach is made of stones and sand, and it is characterised by a geological phenomena called flysch, sheets of limestones alternating with materials like clay. Of small dimensions, the length of the beach depends on the tide.

On the other hand it is very common to see surfers on their surfing boards defying waves. Ogeia is an excellent left and right-hand point break in a very pretty cove. The right - hander provides fast tubular sections ending on the rocks. The left is longer and allows more manoeuvres. You have to be careful getting into and out of the water as there are lines of rocks. It is surfable up to 6 ft and needs a big swell to start beaking.

The beach is also very frequented by scuba diving lovers.
