The church of Santa Ana is located in the old part of Durango, in the beautiful stone square bearing the same name and next to Santa Ana's arch. The temple dates back to the 15th century, was enlarged in 1540 and rebuilt again in the 18th century.
It is a Baroque temple, simple and sober. Its plan is of Herrera style and includes three naves and a cross ribbed vault. Attached to the body of the church is the belfry, added in 1745.
