The church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción is located in the upper part of the town. The first record of this temple dates back to 1495. Its construction went through several stages, and because of that we can see different styles, ranging from the late Gothic to the Baroque, as well as the Renaissance. The temple has one single nave and an octagonal apse. Eleven buttresses support the walls that are made up of masonry, although the corners are made up of ashlar. The porch is L-shaped. Accessing the inside is made through a round arch. The whole ceiling consists of ribbed vaults except the apse, which is a plain vault. The parish church is home to a font from which Saint Martín de Loinaz took water in 1566.
