Biañez old church was built between the 15th-16th centuries.
There is no vault on its nave but it has a Gothic pointed façade door with austere decoration. A marvellous treasure of the church's apse was discovered thanks to some restoration works. When workers took off the Baroque altarpiece dating back to the 17th Century, they found some Renaissance murals. They looked like an altarpiece's structure and depicted Christ´s Passion. They form 90 square metres of paintings and date back to 1535-1540.
They were restored in 1993.
