Santa Marina Square

The square was built between the 18th and 19th centuries as a result of the Bourgeois and erudite spirit prevailing in the village's gentry. An example would be the magnificent castles such as the Baroque Antia and Madinabeitia; Moyua House, which is tipical of the 19th century and nowaday's cultural house, and the beautiful Baruekua Palace, going through a period of transition from Baroque to Neoclassical. It belonged to Lord Areizaga, earl of Peñaflorida's father-in-law. It is worth mentioning the gardens and fountains.
