Casa Dotorekua

Dotorekua house was founded in the 16th century by Dr. Juan Ortiz de Zarauz, Corregidor of Castro Urdiales. Located in a corner of the old town, it has a rectangular plan and three floors.

The entrance is decorated with a large, pointed arch. The façade is particularly striking, as it displays a coat of arms from the Zarauz family lineage. Today, the building belongs to the Laboral Kutxa bank, and it is therefore not possible to take a tour of the interior of the building. However, the firm ARAZI explains the history behind this emblematic building on its guided tours, which offer people the chance to learn about Zarautz's monumental heritage.

Guided tours:

  • July and August from tuesday to saturday at 11:30, departures from Zarautz Art and History Museum.
