The Miramar grounds cover an area of 34,136 square metres, and house a palace, a park, gardens and a variety of buildings. It was once the holiday home of Queen Maria Cristina. The land and the Miramar Palace have belonged to the San Sebastian City Council since 1972. The palace currently hosts the Summer Courses ¿ European Courses organised by the University of the Basque Country in San Sebastian. The Palace has a variety of rooms and all technical and human resources necessary for the staging of seminars, congresses, meetings and courses. In total, it boasts 6 pavilions, 5 exhibition halls, 1 hall with the capacity to hold 195 people, and 1 press room. All of these facilities are endowed with a PA system, simultaneous translation, Wi-Fi services, videoconferencing, telephone, etc.
