A map designed for children and a game encourage younger tourists to visit the región

Álava has a new family tourism angle to encourage young and old to discover its treasures. This involves an information leaflet, an illustrated map and a pack of cards aimed at younger audiences. The comprehensive information leaflet offers a range of ideas to enjoy and get to know Álava with all the family, connected with nature, rivers and reservoirs, history and culture, food and drink, adventure and festivities. This material includes an extensive catalogue of activities and experiences The leaflet is accompanied by a family tourist map in which a snail called Barraskillo and a mushroom called Perretxin guide the youngest visitors to the main tourist attractions in the different parts of the province of Álava. The folk museum in Artziniega, the Salt Valley of Añana, the Botanical Gardens of Santa Catalina, the Green Ring of Vitoria-Gasteiz, the Adventure Parks and the mediaeval castles and villages of Álava. The new family tourism materials also includes a pack of cards with illustrations showing the main tourist attractions in Álava grouped by Cuadrillas (counties), helping children to become familiar with them while they have fun.
