The Guggenheim museum in Bilbao hosts the Architecture MasterPrize gala

The winning designs were chosen by an international jury among projects from all over the world

On 14th October the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao is to host the Architecture MasterPrize award gala, where prizes are given by an international jury to designs in the field of architecture, interior design and landscape architecture with the aim of fostering appreciation of architecture all over the world.

This museum, designed by Frank O. Gehry, which has already hosted various activities including the award of the Pritzker prizes in 1997 - before it was officially opened - has been the driver of major change in the city in the areas of town planning and architecture.

Bilbao today has buildings and architecture designed by figures of high international standing, such as Azkuna Zentroa, renovated by Philippe Starck, the Isozaki towers, the Iberdrola tower by César Pelli, the Osakidetza headquarters by Juan Coll-Barreu and Norman Foster's metro entrances.
