Sagardoetxea, the Basque cider museum, is 15 years old
To celebrate this anniversary it has organised a packed programme of activities
The museum, located in Astigarraga, the cradle of Basque cider, consists of three different spaces: the orchard, the visitor centre and the tasting area. Tours of the museum are all guided, and are available in Basque, Spanish, English and French.
It also runs educational activities in which visitors can take part.
Sagardoetxea is a member both of Gastromuseums, the Basque network of wine and food museums and centres, which offers a set of tourist experiences revolving around Basque gastronomic culture and its most representative products, and of Euskadi Gastronomika, the club promoted by the Basque Department of Tourism to showcase quality restaurants, museums, shops and food and drink establishments.
