A gentle stroll through the heart of Bilbao taking a look a the way things were in the past. We’ll end with a pintxo-pote.
The tour will start at the Arriaga Theatre, icon of times gone by, and Palacio de las Libertades, hugely important in the history of Bilbao. On the way to San Antón Bridge, which earned us our reference as a port, we’ll enjoy the atmosphere of the streets and squares in which the city was born. We’ll wander through the city’s old quarter, a different ‘Casco Viejo’ fondly known as the ‘7 calles’ or ‘Botxo’, passing Santiago Cathedral and Plaza Mayor – former home of the city council – on the way.
We’ll discover the beauty of the Ribera Market, one of the biggest closed markets in Europe. The tour will end just in time for a pre-lunch drink. And to enjoy the hospitality of Bilbao, you’ll have a traditional pintxo-pote pintxo & drink combo, discovering miniature gastronomy.
