Bermeo
The Romería de San Juan of Bermeo is a religious festivity held every year for the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist on 24th July. It begins with a procession on foot to the chapel of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe to keep a promise or to give thanks.
It concludes with a floral offering to Our Lady of Begoña under the sea, beneath the natural arches of the island of Aketze. Pure magic, mystery and spectacle.
