Goya and the enlightened court

Goya and the enlightened court

The first exhibition dedicated to Goya in Bilbao, is a journey through the life and work of the artist during his years of consolidation as an artist in the Court of Charles III and Charles IV.

The exhibition “Goya en the enlightened court” presents an exceptional collection of almost 100 works of art, mostly from the Prado Museum, along with a number of works from other institutions and private collections, confronting his art, technique and vision of reality during his courtesan period with the paintings of other 18th Century artists.

The exhibition has been organised by the Prado National Museum, the “la Caixa” Foundation and the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum.
