Located in Alava's village of Arrazua-Ubarrundia, the Ullíbarri-Gamboa Reservoir supplies drinking water to Vitoria-Gasteiz and the surroundings of Bilbao.
It is also a recreation area, being one of the most visited places by the people of Alava in summertime.
The spectacular landscape accommodates two beautiful beaches: Landa and Garaio, as well as a summer camp offering excellent facilities and services on Zuaza Island. The area boasts numerous swimming areas and recreational areas with tables, grills, and playgrounds. A perfect setting to spend a day with one's own family and enjoy nature.
On the other hand, sports lovers will be able to do some hiking or biking in the vicinity of the reservoir. Besides, the Ullíbarri-Gamboa Reservoir offers the best conditions for the practice of any kind of water sports and activities (rowing, canoeing, windsurfing), since it has two yacht clubs and jetties.
