Bilbao's Euskalduna Palace is the largest centre of this kind in the Basque Autonomous Region with a big auditorium of over 2,000 seats and four independent halls that can accommodate several performances at the same time.
The centre was opened in February 1999 and has been designed by the architects Soriano y Palacios. The design symbolises the last ship built at the former Euskalduna shipyard, situated on the site where the present conference centre stands.
The venue boasts 15 halls and 8 offices well equipped for any kind of congress. It has a VIP boardroom and simultaneous translation booths, as well as the usual services provided by a business centre, such as photocopier, fax and Internet access computers for congress attendees, WiFi connection, etc.
