Agurtza Fishing Interpretation Centre

Praktika Onak Euskadiko Turismo Etika

The popular Agurtza tuna-fishing boat, one of the last remaining traditional wooden fishing vessels on our coast, built in Lekeitio in 1968, has been converted into the Fishing Interpretation Centre.

Visitors can learn about how the fishermen lived at sea, the boat's distinguishing features, the history behind the Santurtzi port, the different arts of fishing, and the different types of boats that exist.

The Interpretation Centre boasts information panels and audio guides in Spanish, Basque and English.

Entry fee: 18-65 years old 2.5€; 5-17 years old, more than 65 years old and groups 1.5€
