El Pobal Ironworks

Quality Assurance

El Pobal Ironworks

The entire hydraulic infrastructure -channel, ditch and bulkheads- is included in this site and located in a beautiful natural setting on the banks of the river Barbadún. Visits are allowed. There are also several buildings, such as the Palace House where the foundry men lived that now houses the museum reception and an exhibition on mills.

A small bakery; a flour mill with two pairs of millstones for grinding wheat and maize; and the foundry

It includes two exhibition halls, the bunkers, a forge and the foundry workshop, where we can find the forge hammer and the smelting furnace, fed by singular 'stone bellows'.
