Located next to the Zurriola Beach, the Kursaal Palace hosts every year the Donostia-San Sebastián International Film Festival.
The glass and steel cubes designed by architect Rafael Moneo boast two auditoriums for more than 2,300 people and up to 20 different rooms, which capacity ranges from 10 to 575. From its opening in 1999 the centre has welcomed over 2 million people and has generated an economic impact of 95 million Euro to the capital of Gipuzkoa. Besides, it has hosted 1,265 events, of which 778 were congresses and 488 cultural activities.
The palace is equipped with booths of simultaneous interpreting, video projectors, screens, close circuit TV, infrared translation system, fibre optics, videoconference, etc.
