Oiasso Roman Museum

Irun has been holding the Oiasso Museum since July of 2006. It shows the Roman remains found in the Bidasoa region and Bay of Biscay. Arkeolan association has collected the remains that nowadays can be found at the archaeological museum. These objects were discovered over an area of between 12 and 15 hectares. Moreover, the museum also implements cultural activities related to ancient history and archaeology.

In an entertaining way it offers the chance to get acquainted with the archaeological find of the port and life during the 1st and 2nd centuries of our era. All of that through many rooms that display the impact of the Roman world on the local society.
