The town of Portugalete, located at the banks of the Ria, is home to the Rialia Industrial Museum.
The Rialia Industrial Museum holds a permanent exhibition based on the historic-artistic background of Biscay High Furnaces.
Rialia Industrial Museum devotes its last room to housing seasonal exhibitions, showcasing pieces by artists who take their inspiration in the "iron region", as well as exhibitions with industrial, seafaring, and nautical themes... Five years after its inauguration in January 2006, Rialia Industrial Museum modifies its permanent exhibition.
It is an impressive collection of art pieces which once adorned this corporation¿s headquarters. Its nucleus is formed by a pictorial collection with an industrial theme, the majority of which were painted in watercolours, and which date back to the mid-20th century.
