To visit Arzak is to enter the Olympus of world gastronomy.
The house hosting this internationally-acclaimed restaurant was built in 1897 in order to function as cellar and inn.
Later on it became a food house specialising in banquets. In 1966 Juan Mari Arzak took control of the restaurant and elevated it to the culinary top. Nowadays his daughter Elena helps him. The menu reflects the permanent creation of new dishes with constant and traditional roots. The restaurant consists of a "laboratory" that analyses flavours, textures and production-processes.
