Victoria Eugenia Theatre

The Victoria Eugenia Theatre is one of the emblematic places of San Sebastián. It has been the venue of important events, such as the San Sebastian International Film Festival and the Quincena Musical.

After a long refurbishment and restoration process, the remodelled building of the Victoria Eugenia theatre opened to the public on March 1st, 2007. Nowadays, the new building offers a complete, varied and attractive selection of cultural activities such us music, ballet, theatre and cinema shows.

There are two new spaces: a wide dance room and another area under the stalls: "Sala Club", an innovative space that will hosts chamber music, jazz, meetings, recitals and conferences.

Improvements have been introduced, widening the scenic space and incorporating the latest audio-visual technologies. Besides, the capacity of the theatre has been reduced to 900 seats as more confortable seats have been installed.

Thus, this emblematic building has become innovative turning into a high point of the culture of the Basque Country.
