It offers the chance of an experience involving not only travel but also personal development and introspection. The full trail covers 675 km, and the part of the route that runs through the Basque Country comes to 150 km.

The Inland Camino de Santiago in Euskadi is marked to be done on foot along a route which has been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Recomendations

  2. Give right of way to pedestrians 🚶 and observe all traffic signs.
  3. Respect the route signs 🚫 and the direction of traffic.
  4. The Basque MTB Centres cannot be held responsible for the incorrect use of tracks or for reckless cycling by user 🚲.
  5. If you get lost, 🗺 remember that there is a code on a metal plaque at the side of every sign.
  6. If you are going to be cycling alone, tell the staff 💬 at the welcome centre which route you are going to follow.
  7. Before you set off, make sure that your bike is in proper working order 🚵, check the weather ⛈ forecast and find out as much as you can about the route.
  8. Don't forget to take some water 🥤, a repair kit and your mobile phone📱.
  9. Respect fencing and close gates 🚪 behind you.
  10. In summer ☀, take precautions against high temperatures 🕶.
  11. Respect the environment 🚮, the towns or villages ⛰ you cycle through and any animals 🐑 you come across.
  12. Enjoy nature 🍂, without noise or haste.
