Located on the coast of Getaria, Gaztetape Beach is part of the beautiful scenery of Gipuzkoa, situated on the west of the San Antón mountain, known as the Mouse of Getaria.

This fine, golden sandy beach opens out to the sea and, as a result, is regularly frequented by surfers, who come here looking to enjoy the waves. Although the right-hander stands out especially on big days, the beach also has other waves like the left near the rocks and the waves close to the shore in high tide.

It has a sand and rock bottom with slabs that are dragged from one place to another. It faces east and depending on the state of the seafloor can provide excellent sessions. There is a surf club on the very pretty beach.

Apart from enjoying the sun and the sea, sports lovers can practice some windsurfing, canoeing or recreational angling among others.
