Hermitage of San Pedro de Elorriaga

The hermitage of San Pedro de Elorriaga, located in Lemoa, was rebuilt in 1910. With rectangular shape, the building has one nave only and nine steles that form the biggest group of Roman epigraphs in Bizkaia.

However, this beautiful temple's main characteristics is that connects three different stele groups; indigenous, Greco-Roman iconography and, finally, steles that localise both iconographies adding Latin texts and Roman decorations. Moreover, those steles dating back to the Roman period are the most relevant ones found in Bizkaia.
