Located in the old town of San Sebastián, the church of San Vicente is thought to be the oldest one in the city. It was built in the early 16th century in Basque Gothic style under the orders of masters of quarry Miguel de Santa Celay and Juan de Urrutia.
The building has a rectangular plan and one nave and two aisles. Its rose windows and pointed arches are amazing, and draw the attention of those visiting the old part.
The inside is sober but amazing and it confers a sense of calmness. Among its gems we'd like to mention the presbytery's altarpiece, done by the sculptor Ambrosio de Bengoechea.
