Thanks to the Euskal Baserri quality symbol we can identity the local products of the Basque Country, as lettuces, kiwis, pears, apples, leeks, walnuts, hazel nuts, Swiss chard, etc. Euskal Baserri products are grown on small market gardens near farm houses in the Basque Country, allowing farmers to dedicate a great amount of time and care.

 

The proximity of the producer to the market allows Euskal Baserri products to be harvested at their ideal point of ripeness, conserving their flavour and allowing them, moreover, to be delivered quickly to the point of sale, in good condition and always fresh. These two factors together - proximity and care during the growing stage - give rise to fruit and vegetables of great flavour and quality, which traditionally have been highly appreciated by consumers.
