Ondarroa
For one day, the coastal town of Ondarroa centres on the anchovy; its most emblematic fish. "Antxoa Egune" (Anchovy Day) offers a programme consisting of activities related somehow to the world of anchovies.
The main festivity day is scheduled for Saturday. Highlights of the programme are the sale of regional canned goods and products, exhibitions (old photos, models) or musical and theatre performances.
Also, over 1,000 pintxos will be given out, with anchovies as the main ingredient.
