Wineries in the Basque Country
José Luis, Juan Mari and Iñigo Berzal own a family winery located in the very heart of Rioja Alavesa with 50 hectares of vineyards. Founded in 1980, Dominio de Berzal marketed its young wines following the traditional method of wine growing known as carbonic maceration.
In 1999, they started constructing a new winery with modern facilities where currently they produce young and crianza wines, private selection and white wine. All of them enjoy prestige on the market by means of several national and international contests.
Visiting the winery is allowed as well as small tastings but by previous appointment. A "txoko" (room) is available to meet and for tastings. For more detailed information contact the person in charge.
