The Urrutia house is a marvellous colonial-style building. It was built in the 20th century as a summer residence of the Urrutia family.
The French influence can be seen in several elements: the lateral platforms that become terraces on the second floor, the three-arch galleries of the main façade, the three-dimensional composition or the imperial staircase. Modernism is expressed, for instance, in the balconies' iron fittings and the cresting.
It consists of a four-storey building: the basement and three floors, the first one as public area and the other two for private use. The interior was decorated following Spanish Neo-Renaissance style: panelled walls, the dining-room door and glazed doors.
The Urrutia villa is surrounded by an English-style garden with a rooftop garden, the gardener's house and a pond.
Nowadays, it is Güeñes Town Hall.
