From Zalla to Balmaseda, Enkarterri with dog

A nice walk of 7.6km (approx. 4 hours), easy and dotted with historical houses, chapels, etc. It ends in Balmaseda, capital of the region of Bizkaia known as Encartaciones. The region used to be crossed by the Camino Real [Royal Road] which, following the river Kadagua, connected Bilbao with Castille.
