The publication highlights this magical corner of Gorbeia as one of the most beautiful forests
The Otzarreta beech forest, located in the Gorbeia Natural Park, has been featured in an article published by Viajar magazine, which describes it as ‘a magical forest that seems to be inhabited by fantasy’.
The article highlights the beauty of this unique enclave in the Gorbeia valley, where centuries-old beech trees grow along the course of the Zubizabala river, forming a dreamlike landscape that captivates visitors. The images of its moss-covered trees and the light filtering through the branches make Otzarreta one of the most photographed and emblematic places in the Basque Country.
The publication also points out that the Gorbeia Natural Park, which stretches between Bizkaia and Álava, is one of the great natural treasures of the north of the peninsula, with peaks over 1,400 metres high and an extensive network of trails that attracts thousands of nature lovers every year.
