Cultural Heritage

The Asunción de Nuestra Señora church is a magnificent, gothic 14th-century building. It was erected with four chapels in the main part and three chapels in the presbytery. It also has a polygonal gothic apse and special vaults. If the temple is overall one of the best examples of the gothic style in the Basque Country, its Western front is one of the jewells of the Renaissance art of the 16th century, like the choir. Finally, there are interesting graves with lying sculptures and a baroque altarpiece of the late 17th century.
