This route recreates the journey of Ignacio de Loiola in the year 1522, from his birthplace to the Catalan town of Manresa, where the so-called “Saint Ignatius’ Cave” recalls the founder of the Company of Jesus. The Ignatian Way, like other long-distance routes, offers the chance to experience not only a journey but also personal development and reflection. The full route is 675 km and the part that runs through the Basque Country is 150 km.
