Peerless La Concha Beach is one of the distinguishing features of San Sebastián. Located right in the city centre, it offers wonderful views of the bay along with the Santa Clara Island and Urgull and Igeldo Mountains.
Of fine golden sand, its 1,350 metres enable practising numerous sports, such as surfing, windsurfing, canoeing, bodyboarding, volleyball and beach soccer. La Concha is an alternative spot for big days, a very urban beach break. It has several peaks, mainly right-handers, of which El Pico del Loro, ideal for bodyboarding, deserves a special mention.
In summertime, a structure with slides and springboards is installed in the middle of La Concha Bay, an ideal place to have a great time.
